STUDENT STORY

Kati Kallins American Sustainability Manager, Facebook Class of 2017

What made you choose an MBA?

My background is in environmental policy. I needed to speak the language of finance and marketing to show that I’m a well-rounded business professional—not just a specialist in sustainability.

What were your key takeaways from Hult?

Gaining a growth mindset has been invaluable. Taking global electives was my favorite part of Hult. Getting to study in two new countries with colleagues who knew the language and culture was such a benefit to my learning experience. Traveling to China was a massive culture shock—I gained a ton of cross-cultural business skills that I’m still applying to my job today.

Any advice for future students?

Going into the program with a game plan of what you hope to get out of the experience is key to your success. There are so many great events on and around campus, opportunities to travel and connect with the broader network—having your end goal in mind makes these opportunities even stronger.
