When did your career journey at Hult begin?

On my third day on campus, I attended a careers fair and started to learn about the power of LinkedIn. I assumed applying for roles was a numbers game, but recruiters use pretty much every space on your profile to work out your fit for a role. The next day I asked my advisor for help; that’s when I got started on my personal brand.

What did you learn?

I learned that, although a recruiter may look for keywords, a hiring manager is more interested in your story. By creating my personal brand on platforms such as LinkedIn and targeting specific job functions, I was able to attract companies like Google, McKinsey, Microsoft, and Amazon.
